Home vet visits Sussex
Home veterinary consultations across Sussex, Kent and Surrey
An unhurried examination in the one place your pet is never frightened. Up to an hour with a vet who has time to look properly and answer everything you meant to ask.
What an at home veterinary consultation involves
We arrive at an agreed time, sit down, and start with your account of what has been going on. Then a full nose-to-tail examination — heart, chest, abdomen, eyes, ears, mouth, skin, joints — done wherever your pet has settled.
Because we are in your home, we also see the things a consulting room hides: how your dog gets up off the floor, which step the cat now avoids, how much water is actually being drunk. That context changes what we notice and what we recommend.
Findings are explained in plain English, a plan is agreed with you, and medication is dispensed at the visit or ordered for delivery. If your pet needs imaging, surgery or hospital care, we arrange it with a trusted local practice and stay involved throughout.

A full clinical examination
Weight, temperature, heart and lung check, abdominal palpation, dental and skin assessment, mobility and pain scoring — recorded so we can compare visit to visit.
Time to talk it through
Diet, behaviour, exercise, insurance, what to watch for and when to ring us. Nobody is knocking on the door because the next appointment is waiting.
Samples and medication on the day
Blood and urine samples can be taken at home and sent to our laboratory. Prescription medication is dispensed or ordered before we leave.
Written follow-up
A record of what we found, what we agreed and what happens next — plus a reminder when the next check or booster falls due.
Home consultations suit some pets especially well
- Cats who disappear at the sight of a carrier
- Dogs who react badly to other dogs in a waiting room
- Senior pets for whom the car journey is the worst part of the day
- Households with three or more animals to check
- Owners who no longer drive, or who cannot lift a large dog
- Anyone recovering from illness or caring for young children
