Veterinary services Sussex
Home veterinary care for every stage of your pet’s life
Consultations, vaccinations, senior checks, medical investigations, Animal Health Certificates and end of life care — all delivered at home across Sussex, Kent and Surrey.
Home veterinary consultations
A long, careful appointment in your own home. We take a full history, examine your pet nose to tail, and talk through anything that has changed — appetite, thirst, lumps, limping, mood.
- Typically up to an hour, with no waiting room
- Ideal for anxious dogs, cats who hate carriers and multi-pet homes
- Medication dispensed or ordered at the visit
Preventative care & vaccinations
Keeping healthy pets healthy: primary courses, annual boosters, parasite control and diet advice, on a schedule we track and remind you about.
- Puppy, kitten and rabbit vaccination courses
- Flea, tick and worming plans matched to your pet’s life
- Weight, dental and nutrition checks at the same visit
Animal Health Certificates
Travelling to the EU or Northern Ireland with your dog, cat or ferret? An Animal Health Certificate must be issued by an Official Veterinarian within ten days of travel. We complete the paperwork at your kitchen table.
- Microchip and rabies vaccination checked and recorded
- Certificate completed, signed and explained before you leave
- Advice on tapeworm treatment and return requirements
Senior pet health assessments
Older animals change slowly, and at home we can see what a consulting room hides — how your dog manages the stairs, whether the cat still jumps onto the windowsill.
- Six-monthly checks with weight, joint and mobility scoring
- Blood pressure, kidney and thyroid screening at home
- Practical changes: ramps, litter trays, bedding, pain relief
Medical investigations & treatment plans
When something is wrong, we investigate methodically and explain each step, so you understand what is being ruled in and out.
- Blood, urine and sample collection at home
- Long-term management of arthritis, diabetes, thyroid, heart and kidney disease
- Referral for imaging, surgery or hospitalisation arranged locally and followed up by us
Working with your local practice
We are a visiting practice, not an island. Surgery, x-rays, ultrasound and overnight care are arranged with practices we know and trust across Sussex and Kent.
- Histories requested and shared with your consent
- We stay involved before, during and after any referral
- Out of hours cover by Vets Now, Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne
End of life & palliative care
When the time comes, your pet can stay at home
Deciding is the hardest part, and you do not have to do it alone. We can visit to talk about quality of life, put pain relief and nursing support in place, and help you judge whether your pet is still enjoying their days.
If the kindest step is to let them go, home euthanasia means no car journey and no strange room — just their own bed or a patch of sunlight in the garden, with their family beside them. We work quietly and slowly, explain what will happen before we begin, and give you as much time afterwards as you need.
- Quality of life assessments and palliative plans
- Pain management and nursing advice for the weeks before
- Home euthanasia across Sussex, Kent and Surrey, arranged with care
- Cremation and burial options talked through gently, in your own time

Questions about our services
Can you vaccinate at a home visit?
Yes. We carry vaccines in temperature-controlled storage and give boosters, puppy and kitten courses and rabbit vaccinations at home, alongside a full health check.
How far in advance should I book an Animal Health Certificate?
The certificate must be issued within ten days of travel, but ring as early as you can — rabies vaccination timing and microchip records need checking first, and appointments in school holidays fill quickly.
Can blood tests really be done at home?
They can. Samples are taken at the visit and sent to an external laboratory, and we call you with the results and what they mean, usually within a day or two.
Do you visit my town?
We cover Uckfield, Lewes, Brighton, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Crowborough, Heathfield, East Grinstead and Crawley, along with Tunbridge Wells and nearby parts of Kent and Surrey. Ring with your postcode if you are unsure.
Not sure which appointment you need?
Describe what is going on and we will tell you honestly what would help — including if it is something better handled at a surgery.
